Eric Ansley
Eric Ansley is principal of ConeHouse, and directs all work. As principal, he assembles teams appropriate to large projects at hand.

Background

Eric Ansley has been in the graphic design industry for 30 years, as graphic designer, art director, studio director to being principal of his own firm. His work has been recognized by the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada, the Alcuin Society and the International Association of Business Communicators.

With a strong background in educational publishing and an early adaptor of new technologies, Eric has been a proponent of new communication tools and media for his entire career.

Eric is a strong designer and project leader to implement larger design projects. Until recently, a reasonable portion of his work has been implementation of corporate brand management sites as a subcontractor to agencies including KADG in Calgary and DDB in Vancouver. He developed a site prototype as a design proof and to explore navigation concepts for the Norske Skog global portal out of Norway. Eric has been web producer of brand management sites for BC Ferries, Vancity, Catalyst Paper, Calgary Stampede and Government of BC.

Standalone websites have been developed for: Moodys Tax Consultants , Canadian Council of the Americas Alberta , Themed Attraction Association Canada , David Vaisbord, Film Producer , and BC Principals’ and Vice Principals’ Association . For many of these sites, web hosting is managed through ConeHouse Inc.

While a recent strength is web-based, Eric continues to provide identity design with print-based art direction and production services for direct clients like BC Assessment Appeal Board, BC Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association and Aptecon Solutions Inc.

As a complement to web-based design, Eric provides AV and experiential design services through ConeHouse. Eric has been involved with interpretive exhibitry for several years, from graphic design of art catalogues to design and production of Ministry of Environment trout hatchery exhibits, to a touch screen audiovisual for Vancouver Parks Board. For the Upper Similkameen Indian Band, Eric developed a sound and light show to tell the story of past workers in a now-decommissioned gold mine; for the government of Barbados, he managed design and installation of audio visual systems for interpretive exhibitry, and for Del Mar in Mexico, installed content and touch screen monitors to promote real estate. This body of work draws on educational communication design skills and web development experience supported by a comfortable understanding of delivery technologies.
