No one knew where the owl symbol came from, but it was a good brand identity, strongly associated by stakeholders and constituency with the organization. There were no standards for typography with the symbol, other than a reference to font family, or standardized design applications including word processing templates. ConeHouse came to the rescue.
We provided design options based on the new head office building typography along with symbol refinements as vertical and horizontal signature blocks. Artwork and specifications were created for preprinted letterhead, business cards and other design applications. Templates were created for Microsoft Word including letterhead, memo, fax cover, meeting minutes and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. A website was built based on existing content using the new brand identity system. Designated staff were able to access design policy and master art files in a secure section of the website for future design projects.
